The Project
D.A. International acted as the event development coordinator of the Stephen Curry Underrated Tour Tokyo powered by Rakuten in Tokyo. We identified and negotiated potential locations, built relationships with local vendors, and provided local staff for the event. With the pieces in place, we supported and monitored the event, while working with our partners to ensure the experience surpassed expectations for all the stakeholders.
This was the first Underrated Tour event held outside of the United States and thus the expectations for a premium, high energy, and highly visible event had to be met. With more than 80 player participants and 30 local coaches, D.A. International coordinated with local basketball associations to assure the quality of players coaches and support staff were unquestioned. Meeting the requirements of a world-famous superstar, sponsor CEOs and the more than 80 accredited media members attending the event was a challenge that we met head-on and over-delivered on all levels.
